This heart of mine was made to travel

Now that I have only double digits left I feel how I get melancholic....
I will just randomly sit somewhere and think of my "old" life back in Germany and then I realize that I am not ready to go home yet.

So I decided to share a couple quotes and pictures with you that describe this year really good.... And to all the new exchange students: You are going to live the best year of your life! And I would give everything to start this adventure again.

Please excuse the language,
but this is how
I felt the first couple weeks. :D

Especially when I had to hold
my first couple presentations in school...
It's a whole new level of excitement :D

What I learned so far? Nobody makes fun of your accent but you will hear countless "Awww that's so cute how you pronounce that!!! Say something in German please." (If you hear that you will instantly forget every word in your native language lol)

I think, there is nothing to add (lol :D)

12 inches are 1 foot, but 3 feet are in 1 yard?
Sorry, but I still don't get it ;D

Hungry! All the time! :D

Happened not only once...

That is me :D Now 45 degrees seem so warm

Because a part of your heart will
always be somewhere else.

The German language is so weird and
scary *cough cough* ;D

Never make fun of someone who speaks broken English. It means they know another language. - JB

That awkward moment when you realize that your brain is functioning on English instead on your native language.

English is weird... It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.

I can express myself better in English than in my native language... O.o

How people see us exchange students. :D

Sometimes you'll hear something like "Hi German" :D

Ok, to be honest these are a lot of random pictures and facts but every single one of them is true and I mean I don't force you to read it so lol whatever ;D

Just enjoy the complete randomness of these pics and maybe smirk about one or two of them. I mean, it is just true and most of these things happened to me more than once. :D

XOXO

Exchange isn't a year in your life, it's your life in a year

And once again I did not post a weekly update and I am sorry for this. Honestly, I am only writing this right now because I don't want to do my homework lol.

So yeah, what happened the last couple weeks...

Superbowl Sunday:
We started with a party at church (hot dogs and pop at 9 am) and even had a commercial during service. In the afternoon we went to a superbowl party at a friends house and had tons of food! (I'm serious the food was the best part lol) So yeah, I thought the panthers will win but they didn't :( Sad day, but the rest of the superbowl was funny to watch :D Especially the commercials

Varsity Letter:
Ok so I am not sure whether I already mentioned that or not, but during the winter season I was on the Varsity Bowling Team of my school and got my varsity letter.
So yeah, let me explain the difference between JV and Varsity and what a Varsity letter is...

JV is the 'Junior Varsity' Team, so all the people who are good but don't have enough experience yet to be on Varsity. JV competes against other JV teams and you can't letter in a sport when you are in the JV team.
On a Varsity Team the members are on a really high skill level and normally have a lot experience in the sport.
So if you are on a Varsity Team and you meet all the expectations you can get your Varsity Letter.
And I got mine this season!! :D

So, here are some pictures from the team banquet at the end of the season:

Well, now Spring season starts (sport not actual spring haha) and since my birthday on March 9 I only have double digits left... :(

And to be completely honest... I am not ready to go home yet.

Ok guys, stay tuned until next time

XOXO
